Lotus Rising #1

Lotus Rising, Mixed Media on Paper, 2024 is a Trypych (a set of three) works in a continuing study of the lotus flower and lotus pods. It is part of a greater body of work that explores the spiritual significance of the lotus flower and the texture of lotus pods. 

Using a bold and contemporary colour palette in acrylic paint, mark making with posca pen worked over acrylic, collage and pastels on brown kraft paper this piece pairs beautifully with other works in the collection.
