Enjoy sinking deeply into this relaxing rainforest scene.
Forest Bathing captures in detail the essence and spirit of the Wollumbin, a place sacred to the people of the Bundjalung and Githabul Nations and a place I am also deeply connected to from my own (non-indigenous) childhood. When I was a young child in the 70s and 80s, we holidayed annually in Byron Bay. My parents would take us children here and to other stunning locations throughout the Northern Rivers so they could sit and paint, while we explored nature.
In 2024 I revisited Wollumbin or Mount Warning as it's always been known to me, to share the beauty of this place with my husband. Although the mountain climb is no longer accessible, we both enjoyed a beautiful afternoon communing with nature in the designated national park area.
